Postgraduate Degree Award Procedure

Procedure required for the award of a postgraduate degree

(Provided that all obligations of the programme of studies have been completed and the grade of the thesis has been submitted to the Department’s Secretariat)

In order to be able to receive your degree you will have to participate in an oath ceremony from which you can only be exempted for extremely serious reasons e.g. working abroad or for health reasons.

You must collect the following documents and send them by email to the secretariat (pms_info@csd.auth.gr) up to 10 days before the graduation ceremony. Until then you will receive a bilingual certificate of completion of studies from the Secretariat via the system https://students.auth.gr/.

Supporting documents required for the award of the Master’s degree:

1. You will be issued a certificate which you will send to the Secretariat by email. More information on how to submit your application will be given to the Central Library in the form of an email to the Secretariat. More information on how to make a deposit can be found on the website of the Central Library

2. You should apply here to check that you do not owe books (in the field “Library” you should select Central Library) and then the Secretariat will be informed automatically by the Library.

3. Confirmation of de-registration from the student residences of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, (for students who were staying)

4. Proof of completion of the questionnaire which can be found on the website of the MOHIP (https://qa.auth.gr/student)

5. Present your academic identity card to the Secretariat or send it by post to the address: ‘Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Secretariat of Postgraduate Studies, Department of Computer Science, Biology Building, Thessaloniki, 54124

From the day of the swearing-in ceremony onwards, you should apply at https://students.auth.gr/ for the certificates you wish to receive (Copy of the Master’s degree bilingual (paid) and/or Analytical score per type or per semester bilingual (paid) and/or Master’s degree membrane (paid)) following the instructions of the Electronic Governance Centre.
